A new direction

MiH jeans (here) / red 'Poppy' pin for Rememberance Day (11 November) / Omega Speedmaster watch (men's)

After an extended absence (you may have noticed me being a no-show in relation to personal style photographs) for a variety of reasons beyond my control.  You may have noticed me being a no-show in relation to personal style photographs on the blog lately.  I'm finally back and in the routine of things again.  I've also made some changes in relation to what will appear in posts. I aim to bring you more regularity with posts and variety, including what was originally intended to be featured.  A composite of editorials, street style, my outfits, some personally curated feature sets with what I'm currently loving from online stores, a series of what's trending and get the look, laid out/personal items and of course, what and who inspires me.  I think a mixed bag is far more interesting than simply seeing little me all the time...  Yawn!  I'm sure there will be some other content that make an appearance too like news on fashion releases, events, sales and travel.  So if you have any feedback, naturally I would welcome it.  Apart from that, stay tuned and I hope you are as excited about the new posts as I am.

  5. Hi Mandi,

I too had a prolonged silence on the blog this summer comtemplating on where to blog about since it needed something new but also something a little bit more. But since I also work/study and have a toddler literally screaming for attention sometimes it's hard to combine and keep up with my own set up deadlines. Just be assured : I love your posts whether it's a whole lotta you or something other fashion-related item you are covering.

    With love from Amsterdam,

    xDiah

PS you are the reason I am becoming a Isabel Marant addict (and yes I did line-up for the collab...dork;)...but I did got hold on to those boots!!!)

    1. Hi Diah, It's so difficult isn't it with such a demanding life already. You do so well though! Thanks for all of your support it really is appreciated and you are always so kind. I'm glad you managed to get the boots. Believe me if we had H&M here in Australia I would have been lining up too!

  7. Really glad to see you back on the blogging wagon, I'd begun to miss your outfit posts. And what a goodie too, how amazing are the Lim loafers right? I love mine.

I think a mixed bag keeps it a little interesting, and is something I've been trying to incorporate a little bit more myself :)

    1. Thanks Jamie-Lee. Oh the Lim's are unbelievable! Your pair is what inspired me to finally get them and I'm so glad although I wish I would have come by them sooner and a half size bigger! PS I love your outfit posts and you already do a nice combination of things on your blog. It definitely keeps me reading! x

  9. Tom did it again with these beautiful photos. Your skin is luminous and those high cheekbones. I'm jealous! I can't focus on one topic, not even if someone points a gun to my head. Variety keeps me on my toes only because I get bored so easily. I'm always amazed how you juggle work, family and blogging. There's only so many hours in a day.

    1. Ha ha... boy do I miss you! You always make me laugh. I definitely need to visit. High cheekbones... where? I'm extremelly fortunate with Tom. My photograhic saviour. Believe me the 'variety' aspect is what will keep me on track more with blogging. Unlike some bloggers who manage to get heaps of personal style posts every week, I struggle with the time. So respectful of those that can pull it off though. As you say, only so many hours in the day.

  13. I've missed your personal posts :) Those Lims are just incredible, had my eye on them for ages but never found them in a proper size! Variety is always good - though lately I've had so little time to blog it's just been a lot of personal posts which I find easier to do, since I usually have my camera on hand during the day and it's a matter of finding someone to take them, haha. There's definitely only so many hours in a day!
