Zippers to the max

Ever feel that items have so many unnecessary features? Take this jacket for instance. What on earth are all those (eleven) zippers for?  That's some pretty serious hardware!  Some are superficial while others are functional and contain secret little pockets, which if I had ten items to covertly hold, might come in handy.  Maybe they are just to enhance the biker babe effect of the jacket.  It's all making more sense now...

    1. Hey Brenda,

The designer of R13 is a little bit of a mystery to me (and I believe to most). There is a little bit of info out there, but this is probably a good Q&A session http://www.denimology.com/2009/12/r13_-_designer_q_a.php

Brilliant designer! Really well made items, beautiful materials and of course, a little bit rock & roll babe which I love.

  12. I get a glam Thriller vibe from this jacket. Also, I love the heels of those shoes, and how there's an extra detail.

    1. It definitely has that vibe. Paired with some stone washed jeans and I'm sure it could pass of being of that era.

    1. Red is definitely a wicked colour for a biker leather jacket. I'm glad you managed to get one too. Zara have some amazing pieces. Enjoy wearing yours too. I'll keep an eye out for it on your blog x

  19. Absolutely love your saint laurent heels. How do you find them? I'm wanting make my first designer heel purchase and have been leaning towards Saint Laurent paris heels (thorn or not) Are they relatively comfortable and how do you find the leather quality? Thanks so much in advance :) xo

    1. Hi GK,

How exciting! Your first designer heel purchase. It's a big decision.

The Saint Laurent heels are really gorgeous and comfortable to wear. I did find that they run a little narrow. As an example, I normally wear a size 36 or 36.5 in heels and needed the 36.5 in these.

I have the white more plain pump from Saint Laurent too (featured in other posts). I would say they are the most comfortable as the heel is a tiny bit shorter than the thorn pump.

The leather and craftmanship is beautiful.

If you need any help or advice on where to find them, just drop me an email to findmeamuse@gmail.com. I'm happy to help.

      x Mandi
