The weary traveller

What a couple of days.  We have finally arrived at Falls Creek.  What was suppose to take us around 5 hours ended up taking 28 hours.  With a landslide and a road closure (and re-opening... obviously) firmly in our rear view, we are now all settled in.  Funnily enough, these shots were actually taken (including my of the moment, glazed and bored expression) at a small local service station while we were waiting to hear about the potential of the road opening.  You do have to amuse yourself when standing aimlessly for hours on end with nothing in sight, somewhat stranded due to not having a vehicle.  All I have to say is I'm so thankful for some good reading material and the iPad!  Absolute essentials for travelling.

  11. I love these shots and the colours are all amazing. I want it all and you look so cosy too. The patina on the Hunter boots adds to the effect doesn't it. Much nicer than regular shiny wellies.

I agree about the essentials of life - an iPad and some technology goes a long way. Especially with kids!

  16. I I looooove your coat. Basically I need it! Is it the same as the Acne as yours doesn't have the leather soooooooo where did you get yours from? Stumbled across your blog yesterday, love it. Falls is great, glad it eventually worked out. Loved the Givenchy bootie too, but couldn't justify! Can't wait for

    1. The coat is absolutely the most gorgeous winter coat I own. I actually purchased mine from Vestiaire Collective which was brilliant because I got it at a discounted price (it has been used a few times but in perfect condition). That is a great site to watch as they do come up there. I was specifically after the khaki/grey version too.

I did notice that My Theresa has a size 38 still online which is exactly the same as mine (mine is a size 36 and I went true to size). All the newer versions have the leather straps though.

Ah yes, those Givenchy booties. I couldn't justify them either but my eyes still light up every time I see them

  18. The Velocite jacket looks amazing on you Mandi! It has to be one of the best winter jackets out there, Acne does such stylish pieces. These pictures are reminding me to wear mine more this winter :)
