Super size me

Photographs by Tom

I've been going on and on about my love for structural pieces for a while now and I've just realised, I've hardly shown you any of my favourites!  Tut tut...  I've got a slew of these type of items and what I love about many of them is the absence of a tight fit and the feeling of restriction. It also reminds me of playing dress ups when I was little and feeling all consumed by fabric.  In this instance, it's the way the design is intended and it just feels so right.  In my opinion, not everything has to be form fitting to be flattering or worth wearing.

  3. Such a beautiful red jumper! It looks like the perfect amount of oversized and comfortable :)

Nice to see you're not in too many layers too - did you have a warm weekend like we did? It was a nice change! Back to cold weather today though :( haha!

  4. I completely agree, I've been leaning more & more towards un-fitted things recently. Plus, they provide such a nice contrast when worn with a more fitted bottom half or vice versa. The cocoon shape of that top is really gorgeous & it's such a nice colour on you too. I'm still lusting over that Moxham cuff, I think I need to add a few to my collection.

  6. I love the structure, clean lines and bold color of your top. I agree, not everything has to be fitted. I feel like beautifully structured pieces that are well made will always fall nicely on the body.
