3 x essential boots

I thought I would share with you my three essential (and favourite) types of all round boots.

A pair of slick, leather ankle boots with a barely there heel for looks that are more tailored but equally perfect with some tough loved, old worn jeans.  Mine are Church's 'Manmouth'. I love the elasticised gusset sides that give the perfect fit and just the quality of the shoe.

For a little bit of rock star cool and a touch of studded bling, the Chloe 'Susanna' boots.  These I class as being a 'flashy' boot.  Definitely not as subdued as the others, but they are great for lifting any outfit and showing a bit of attitude.

Last but not least, a simple, unpretentious boot that is just all about being easy to wear.  Mine are the Acne 'Pistol' boots They remind me of a cross between a biker and riding boot. Great for more rugged, casual or biker babe looks.

There are so many great boots around this season it's hard not to find a pair that you will love.  The issue will be narrowing it down, that is unless you already own some beauties. Here are some of my favourite current season picks to wet your appetite.  See I told you...  we are absolutely spoilt for choice.  Tempting...

  1. Love all of them, especially the pistol boots! I've been contemplating getting another pair, my nude ones have been getting a lot of love recently :)

    1. It's funny, it took me years to even try on the Acne Pistol boots. I wasn't sure on them but then I saw a woman with them on and I just thought they were such a good looking boot on and practical. They get at least three wears a week at minimum so such a good buy. I love the nude ones but I thought I would knock them around. Beautiful colour though!

  5. I would totally love to see a bit more of your shoe collection Mandi! I've been tossing up whether to sell my susannas (probably more due to feeling guilty over some recent purchases than anything else) although I think you've reminded me why I should be keeping them ;)

    1. I went through exactly the same thought process. I felt really guilty when I bought the Chloe's. Just the price aspect of them and then thought of selling them (for the same reason). Luckily I changed my mind. I find it just takes me to wear them to know exactly why they are so worth keeping :)

  6. Hi Mandi
Great picks! True to form my wardrobe is very similar...I have the Chloe boots and the Acne pistol boots :) My version of the elasticated ankle ones are the Balenciaga Chelsea boots...perfect for just pulling on and getting out the door.
How are you going with your Acne Velocite jacket?
I wonder how many items we have that are the same? ha ha ha

    1. Ha ha... I often think that too when I'm eyeing off your outfits! It's great though that we have a stack of the same items. You wear them different ways than me and it always inspires me to think differently :) I love the Balenciaga Chelsea boots. Such classics! x

    1. I definitely take ultra good care of things. I don't understand trashing items (unless that is the look a person is after). Far too much $!

  9. Shockingly I don't own a single pair of ankle boots but I'm hoping to rectify that nearer to Autumn. Mandi, your shoe collection is TDF. I promise myself one day I'll get a chance to dive into your closet and live there :P

  11. Wow, so beautiful ! I always keep the Susannas on my wishlist but I have never managed to take the plunge. The price is just ridiculously high and as I am not the most loyal person when it comes too fashion I would be capable of not liking them anymore a few days later... but I do love them :) xx

    1. I definitely agree on the price of the Chloe's. I suffered so much guilt when I bought them. Definitely a purchase you would have to know you will love for years to even consider :)

  14. We share the same bootsss! Except for the church's pair although I was looking at a pair of Chelsea boots(we call em that) last year to add to the old collection. I have an infatuation with boots, I think they're the most expensive things in my wardrobe!
