Isabel Marant Kelil cardigan

I love stalking the sales and also eBay for that matter towards end of season.  It always seems to produce some great finds whether it be heavily discounted or rare items from other women off-loading some of their wardrobe (normally un-worn too) to make way for something 'newer'.  What can I say. Consumerism is alive and well.

I've been on a knitwear bender anticipating that Melbourne winter will again be too cold for my comfort.  I swear its my tropical born and bred blood that works to my disadvantage each year.  Layers, wool and anything that is snuggle worthy is always on my list of 'must buys' for winter.  That was when this Isabel Marant cardigan crossed my path.  It reminds me in some ways of the wool blankets my talented and crafty grandmother used to knit and crochet for me, albeit adapted to be a wearable version. Honestly over-sized, draped cardigans are the best!  My new quest, to find some more before the chill sets in even more. After all, winter's coming.

One of my favourite things about winter is that every year when I decide to stock up, it's all on sale online as they are bringing in spring stuff!

  15. Awesome cardi, the sort of thing you could wear to the movies and snuggle up in. I love the cardi Isabel Marant did a couple of seasons ago that had the embroidered thread hanging from it. Know the one I mean?

    1. Oh believe me I know exactly the one you are talking about. It's so lovely. That cardigan and this one are from the same season and the same kind of fit. I remember seeing that one in the store and barely being able to put it back but the price tag definitely actioned me to leave the store.

  16. Mandi, sometimes it's hard to believe how old you REALLY are. You look remarkably young. I still think you're probably in your 20s. Hah! We are still in the midst of winter here. Crazy. I can't wait to get into less layers for a change or else I'm getting on a plane home.

    1. Believe me I'm sure it is more my personality than looks that give me a younger age! Well you know me... Hit the big 36 this year. Starting to count backward (again) for my age next year ha ha... You've had such a long tough winter it's unbelievable! I really hope you get a decent summer. Maybe go for a trip if need be to catch some rays
