The three time winner

Ever got stuck on an outfit, wearing it way too often in one week?  Well this was my little repetitive number over the past week.  Since things have been hectic, I've been going for outfits that have four to five items in them max.  Think shoes, pants, top, bag and if required, either a jacket, coat, sweater or scarf.  Dressing in under five minutes presents challenges, so I just made the most of one outfit, wearing it multiple times (in different company of course and yes, after laundering).

I've also been lacking enthusiasm for accessorizing. I'm not sure where my creativity is at the moment but things are a little bulk standard.  Maybe I'm just feeling a little ordinary in my dress since seeing all the fashion week 'snaps' with all the mismatched prints, colour explosions and heaped on dramatic jewellery that could cripple even the strongest fashionista under its weight.  My outfit versus all the pretties at fashion week (some of whom I admire immensely), I would say are at total different ends of the spectrum. But I like to think that this is more practical for everyday wear and a normal gal's life.

What I'm wearing:
Scanlan & Theodore light denim shirt (old)
J Brand 912 jeans (HERE or HERE)
Isabel Marant Poppy heels (similar HERE)
Celine Trio bag (HERE)

  2. Same here! All those mismatched prints just confuse me, thinking I must be doing something wrong. Well, I prefer your classic look and love every single item you're wearing! I'll be heading down to Paris tomorrow in a more laid back look as well, no mismatched prints on me, it would only make me feel uncomfortable. Have a great weekend Mandi! xx Kayin

  5. Regardless of how many items- you look so chic!

I love the IM poppy heels. I tried them at BG, but sadly they didn't work for me.

  6. Nothing wrong with a simple classic outfit!

It's good to have a fall back outfit to rely on when everything else is hectic :)

  9. I can see why you reached for this three times (even if lack of time was the real reason). It's simple, understated and very chic. I'm a bit the same as you, I'm quite happy to just wear a simple bracelet and a chunky necklace and that's it

  10. Nope, I don't understand the clownish outfits at the Fashion Week. I can relate to what you're wearing and your sentiments. I tend to rotate the same thing in different combination over one week. When everything becomes overwhelming, the urge to dress like a cool girl just escapes me :P

  15. fashion week photos kind of inspire me to crack out the crazy combos but it's kind of overwhelming and turning into a bit of a circus if you will - don't get me wrong.. i love the photos! but it feels like everyone is trying to outdress each other for the camera. i for one, really like outfits like this ;) the details on the denim shirt is particularly amazing - love the curve hem! ;)

  17. I am totally a "repeat offender" and I am currently doing it with a denim shirt that I found in Santa Barb (however I look nowhere near as chic as you!). Its as soft as my son's PJ's which is always a litmus test for me!

  18. Why are you apologising Mandi? You look ten times better than a lot of the people in the fashion week photos I've seen just recently. You're wearing a classic but so on trend outfit. I love it. Can I have your bag when you've finished with it ;o)

  19. I wish my days started later in the mornings. I'm not a morning person, so getting out of bed is an issue, let alone trying to find something to wear to look good in! You look gorgeous Mandi, you always do xoxox
