High impact prints

I'm not normally one to be exceptionally keen on 'trends' but alas, this one has me firmly on board.  I've been stalking various shirts recently in all kinds of prints but have a keen eye on those with a more retro influence.  Miu Miu are totally hitting it out of the ball park for me which you will notice from my inclination to include a handful of the designs.  I even slashed a few from the list due to too much Miu Miu love.

The printed shirt is such a wardrobe workable item.  Think cropped or rolled up pants with some killer high impact sandals for summer or a wider leg pant with a Mary-Jane (for a nod to the bygone eras) or a round toe, classic pump.  A more relaxed option would be with boyfriend denim and retro shoes (I'm personally thinking of my Balenciaga Resort heels from 2011 here) or for a sleek look, team them with this season's other must have item, the leather skirt and some pointed toe pumps.   Which ever way you choose to style the high impact patterns, they are sure to be a winner.

  1. oooh love them all- my faves are the two on the way left side! xO!

  2. Love the print and colors on the Stella blouse! It's gorgeous and yeah, I also dig the versatilitly of a bold printed blouse! :)

  3. I love it, there's definitely a printed shirt on my wishlist for fall! Love your picks babe!

These are all pretty rad, but I don't know what it is. I think I'm a bit scared to buy something with a bold print. I love looking at them online, but then I settle for solids. It's like I'm a bit stuck at the moment. That Theyskens' Theory one is wonderful though...

    1. I have the same fear as you. I normally wear solids especially in shirts and might go a little outrageous with shoes or a bag so this is pushing myself :) Will see if I manage to take the plunge. I'm hoping I end up braving at least one though

  5. I can see how lovely these would work for summer but it's definitely not something that would work for me. I can't wait to see how you style them - I agree, they'd be great with a leather skirt :)

    1. I love them so much but I have this little voice that keeps telling me to hold off a purchase. Will see how this wish list item pans out. xx
