Isabel Marant Spring 2012 shoes: Yet to be released

I'm a bit of an internet surfer when it comes to finding fashion. What frustrates me at times is having to search so far and wide and having to open literally five to ten sites to find one designer's complete (or close to), collection. So I thought I would compile a post for all of the eager Isabel Marant fans out there like me, complete with the shoes I have found that are yet to be released from the current Spring Summer 2012 collection, to save you some searching time.  Now some of these little beauties will come in a variety of colours but I thought I would just snapshot the styles for you.  From memory I think this collections drop is due for delivery up until the end of April.

If I had to choose only one pair (no limit should ever be imposed on Isabel Marant shoes), my personal favourites would have to be the black 'Rio' sandals (top image).  These gorgeous runway sandals come in both nude and black and I'm sure they will be hot property for any devoted fan.   Enjoy...

    1. Hi Marianne, Ha ha... I can imagine. I'm actually making myself save for a bit now and not buy! I'm trying to avoid looking at IM since that is my weakness! I hope you had a great one too. I can't believe it's Monday (again)! xx

    1. Hi Kendall, So you were quick to pre-order them as well then? We sound as bad as each other :) Yes I have them coming in black. I can hardly wait. It feels like it's taking forever!

    2. I'm sure I'm just as obsessed. Can't decide though if I should take the plunge and get the Willow sneakers, they are amazing and would work really well for casual outfits etc...there is a pair in the beige I have access to,, but what do you think of that colour way?

    3. The Willow sneakers are amazing and honestly, I wear mine so much more than I thought I would. Do you mean the all ecru (creamy beige) colour? They are nice. I saw a heap of photo's of them teamed with black leggings which I really liked. As long as you realize they are a light beige kind of colour not white. Some ladies expect white and get disappointed.

  3. It took me a while to leave a comment because I can´t decide which one I like the most. Ok, here´s my choice: the first one and the open toe bootie. Seems like I have to go to Paris anytime soon and hit the IM store... oh Mandi, once again I hear voices in my head telling me to buy some IM shoes...;)
    Thanks for sharing!!!!

    1. Hi Doro, Ooh... Paris again! I'm so jealous still from your last amazing trip! It's hard to choose with IM shoes isn't it? Sorry for encouraging you again :)

    2. I know what you mean. I often have to trawl through so many different stores just to get an idea of the entire collection. The Harvey Nicks SA told me it's because the big stores do not want to step on each other's toes so the diplomatic way is to order different pieces from the collection. From a buyer's perspective, it's a nightmare!

There's also a lower version for the "Rio", called the "Rea"

    1. Perfect! Thanks so much for sharing. I'm sure a lot of ladies will be interested in those that don't go for the super high heels

    Watch out ladies !
I just tried those wonderful sandals - the "Rea" actually, with 9 cm heels - tonight in Paris, and I must warn you : they are VERY tight at the ankles (and believe me, I'm not a chunky girl)...

    1. Hi Sonia, Thanks for the info. I'm nervous now. I pre-ordered mine but that is the area I'm concerned with (even though I don't have large ankles either). Could you do them up?

Yes Mandi, you can do them up, but once it's done, the bracelets are so tight it hurts and it's really uncomfortable to walk... I was very disappointed because I fantasized a lot about those shoes, altough an IM seller warned me already six months ago "they're made only to sit with". Now I must admit she was right !
Nevertheless I wish the best for you - maybe they will fit you ! And if not, at least you can send them back... Where did you pre-ordered them ? At Barney's ?

    1. Hm... I'm particulary nervous now. Maybe if I go up a size? Maybe that will make the ankle better. I'll see how I go but praying they fit. I pre-ordered from Espejto. It will be such a shame if they are too tight! Did you see any new other shoes? I know that the international NAP site will be putting up two different styles in the IM wedges for today's arrivals (in approx 9-10 hours).

Don't go up a size, because they fit true to size (i'm usually wearing a 39 by Marant) and they were perfect... except that damn ankle situation, I would have bought them in a minute !
Speaking of the other new shoes, I saw most part of the ones you're showing here. I don't like the wedges sandals, they're way too high and thick to my taste. I totally had a crush on the python Dana boots, they are astonishing ! The color is beautiful, a kind of pastel, way much lighter than on the picture - I couldn't leave without them ! As I already own the previous model like you (but in camouflage), I think I'm starting a collection...
As for the Rio, don't be too nervous. Anyway, you have to see them for real, try them and make your own opinion, so you did the right thing by pre-ordering them. And as I said, you have the opportunity to send them back - or sell them, and believe me you will find a buyer, the seller told me they will have very few pairs. She also showed me the style book, and there will be other similar sandals, with just ONE bracelet at the ankle... They don't have them yet, but they will call me as soon as they arrive - I intend to buy them if they fit, and I can send you a picture then.

    1. That's good advice. I'll just give them a go and hope for the best.

Aw... congrat's on the new styled Dana boots! Such a fabulous boot I'l so glad that IM did them again. If you feel like it (are enthusiastic enough), can you send me a photo to put on my blog? Of course only if you have the inclination to do so. My email is findmeamuse@gmail.com. I know a heap of ladies that are keen on seeing them.

I saw the other heels you are talking about (somewhere). They are beautiful to. Understated but I love they still have the chain detailing on them. Which IM store do you live near (France, Hong Kong, New York....)? I'd been in there far too much!

I have the chance to live in Paris, with all IM tentations at my door ;-)
Sure I'll send you some photos ! I'd be glad to please other IM fans... I have to go to work now, so I'll do it tomorrow (saturday) in a proper way and with a nice daylight (hopefully, weather is pretty grey around here those days).
    Have a nice evening,
    Sonia
