The dream boot in stock now: Chloé Susanna boot (Susan)

I have seriously lusted after the Chloé 'Susanna' boot (sometimes referred to as the 'Susan') for many a season.  I've ogled it on eBay many a time, since yet again, I was late on the uptake of the release and blink... these beauties were gone.  Unbelievably the eBay prices far outstripped the actual retail, not by a mere or ever so slight increase, but for within the realms of the selling (or at least, the listing prices) of $3,000-$5,000!

As luck would have it, Chloé has re-released this wondrous boot this season.  With its famous soft leather, gold studding, adjustable front belt straps and the perfectly stacked wooden heel, the 'Susanna' boot has achieved an iconic status. Originally launched in Autumn of 2008, this may be your second and last chance to own them (except for the eBay astronomical prices). Word has it, that there are no plans for a third production of the boots.

The 'Susanna' boot has just hit Netaporter and Barneys and will undoubtedly be an item that commands an instant purchase.  If you choose to think about it and tomorrow they are long gone, don't say you weren't warned!

For those of you that need a little styling inspiration, below are some amazing editorial photo's featuring the boots, to set you on your way.  Such impeccable street wear styling!  Enjoy ladies... And for those of you that are looking to acquire your pair of 'Susanna's' this season, make sure you're fast on that 'buy' button. xx

I do like them, but they do give you big feet... Certainly when you pair them with skinny jeans. I think I'll pass. Love the editorial!

    1. Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to stop by the blonde salad. I'm sure she will be on these babies! They were also mentioned on Style By Kling. Me to. I'm saving the $!

  4. I think I remember seeing photos of Kate Bosworth wearing these. I can't believe the eye watering prices these went for on eBay. You could easily get a Hermes bag for that! But they're striking and unique.

    1. Yeah Kate and also Sienna. They really suit the rocker bohemian look. I'm saving for a Celine. Still lusting after those bags! I hope you're not to cold. I've heard the cold snap has hit over there xx

    1. I haven't orders them. My shopping funds are a little low :) a gf of mine said that she found the half size smaller than normal was good for her. Are you getting them? Congrat's if you are. They are do unique! That editorial sells them

I would love to order them, but still deciding! If I get them, that means I have to sacrifice buying several other things I really want, like the Isabel Marant betty sneakers :( Tough decisions!

    3. These boots are a classic that will last for years!! The Betties will pass according to me and you'll find them in a 1 year or 2 on Ebay for much less if they still please you...If I were you I would go for the Susannas.

  9. I tried them at Barney's. I'd say they run 1/2 size large. I usually like a ten with thick socks. I took a 9 and a 1/2. Nine with thin socks would probably be okay. They are a bit wide in the heel. (The socks help if you have narrow heels). The saleswoman was getting the cream color.

I thought the'y be too "I live for 80's rockabilly," but they are really beautiful. I sort of justified the price because they're so versatile and wearable. (Unlike my stunning, painful high heels that sit in their little boxes).

    1. Congrat's Debs! I bet they are gorgeous! I had the same concerns over would they be too over the top or 80's but all of my girlfriends that have seen them in real life love them. Thanks for the sizing info. I keep looking at them :) Putting them in the online basket, taking them out... I do this repetitive process far too many times a day!

  11. Love the styling in this cool editorial, but not sure about the boots...I prefer the Golden Goose ankle boots to be honest which in my opinion would look awesome with this look.

    1. Golden Goose boots are exquisite! You are so right. I love how they look vintage and each pair are rather unique in the finish. Hm... I should dedicate a blog post to them as well. Very worthy boots!

    Very stylish!!!

I would like to hear from you all that which color of the Chloe Susanna boots you would pick . Red? Black??

    1. I would go for the black. I think the gold studs gives them enough lift. But also I know my taste. I get over colours and my taste is more classic. I figure when spening so much money I would want to make sure I would wear them for years.
